Welcome to Haymarket Baptist Church Preschool & Kindergarten. We are proud to be serving Northern Virginia and families residing in Haymarket, Gainesville, Bristow and other surrounding areas.

We are a ministry of Haymarket Baptist Church and it is our goal to provide a loving Christian environment in which your child can grow in all areas of his/her life, becoming all that God has intended for them to be.

Our school was established in 1989 as a non-profit organization. Because we are a religiously based school, we are exempt from state licensing. However, we are monitored by the state and must meet and document the required guidelines set by the state and implement their recognized health, safety and staffing requirements. Our staff is CPR and First Aid trained, and must complete continuing education annually in the field of Early Childhood. We currently have over 300 children enrolled in our preschool programs. We offer classes for 2's, 3’s and 4’s, AM and PM programs, and a variety of days of the week to attend. We do not offer daycare or extended day options. Our Kindergarten Program runs from 9-1, with the option to add Enrichment programs for an extended hour.

Our programs and activities are designed to teach and encourage each child’s natural curiosity, give them opportunities to learn about God, prepare them academically for Kindergarten and 1st Grade, create opportunities to develop social skills, enrich them with developmentally appropriate activities and foster friendships, patriotism, respect and caring for others. We use the Abeka phonics and writing curriculum with our 3’s and 4’s, and add many other resources to keep a balanced approach to the preschool environment. We provide music and movement classes every week for our 3’s and 4’s. Our Kindergarten has music and PE each week. Everyone goes to Chapel, once a week. We have 2 large, fenced playgrounds and an inside playroom for rainy days.

We are currently full for the 2007-2008 school year, with waiting lists. You can contact the school to add your name to the list. Registration for the 2008-2009 school year will take place February 1, 2008 for currently enrolled students, and February 11, 2008 for new families. Our school is a member of ACSI, the Association of Christian Schools International. ACSI offers many excellent conferences and workshops for our staff's required continuing education in Early Childhood Education.
